Berlin

Here are some pictures from my trip to Berlin last weekend. Berlin is about 6 and a 1/2 hour drive. Just realized I didn't take very many good pics of the Berlin wall with my camera but I know my friends did so I will get them to send them to me and I will post them later.

A section of the Berlin wall at the Airlift museum.

Another piece of the wall that reads "We want our American friends back."

The Kaiser Wilhelm Church, bombed during an air raid in 1943.

The Berlin Airlift museum

A chocolate version of the Kaiser Wilhelm Church.

Chocolate Titanic.

Chocolate Brandenburg Gate.

Holocost Memorial.

Apparently the last Nazi Eagle sculpture.

Location of the Fuhrerbunker wher Hitler spent his last days underground. The bunker was completely destroyed by the Russians. An apartment complex was built here after the war.

Polar Bears at the Berlin Zoo. These are the bears that attacked a crazy lady that jumped in with them a few weeks ago.

At the first restaurant we went to.

......Here are more pictures of the wall I mentioned earlier. These pieces of the wall are actually still standing in their original place.

  3. These are amazing. Grandma will be very interested in seeing these. Even though it's far away, I'm so happy you ended up where you wanted to be stationed. You deserve every bit of fun you're having. I'm looking forward to the pictures from Spain.

    Love and Miss you!
