Zurich, Switzerland

I woke up Saturday morning and decided I was going to travel to Zurich, Switzerland. No specific reason why I picked there. I think just because it seemed a little closer on the map than a lot of other places I want to go. I had no idea what I was doing. I just drove to downtown Kaiserslautern not even knowing where the train station was. I found it eventually and it was pretty easy buying a ticket. I eventually got there and found a place to stay at around 8 or 9 at night. I woke up the next day and walked around the city. The city is really nice and fancy but that is about it. There isn't anything I noticed that seemed very interesting, just fancy. I found a city tour bus which made the trip. It was a four and a half hour tour that takes you through the city by bus and also to the top of a small mountain near the city by cable car. We drove by some interesting places like a University that Einstein taught at and by FIFA (international federation of football) headquarters which is a big deal for soccer fans. Here are the pictures.....

  1. Hey Jeff,

This was another great adventure. If we visit there, please don't book us rooms at the Dolder Grand Hotel. The $12,000 per night would really blow our budget. Zurich is a very interesting city but not what I imagined Switzerland to be. The mountains in the distance are what I had in mind but they don't appear high enough to be the Alps. Just like with the German cities, I'm amazed at how clean the streets are.

It sounds like bus tours are the way to go in the major cities over there.

    Keep your adventures coming.

  2. I'm here with Amy who is in tears looking at pictures of her little brother (are you surprised?!) She is so proud of you. She just had a dream last night that we were on our way to visit you, so she was glad to see you have a large apartment since Cassi, GiGi and Isaiah were with of course! You'll be looking for a one bedroom apartment now. We love and miss you!!!
